Ember Sherman

HI!!  My name is Ember Sherman.  I am a 31 year old wife and mother....I will actually be 32 this month.  I have been married to my best friend, my wonderful husband, Derek for 10 years.  We have two sweet, crazy boys...Corbin, 9, and Bryson, 2 1/2.  We also have a 'daughter', Remi, our 3 year old Jack Russell.  We moved to Borger, Texas (a small town in the Panhandle) 2 years ago, after residing in the Austin area for 10 years.  I am fortunate enough to be a SAHM, and LOVE being able to spend time with my kiddos.
I guess I have been scrapping off and on since I was a Freshman in High School.  Back then it was mostly lame stickers and doodling, but I LOVE going back and looking at them, and would NEVER think of changing anything...they're just too hilarious!  I really started diving into the hobby about 5 years ago, after getting a part-time job at a scrapbook store.  I took several breaks during that time, but now that I stay at home I have been able to spend more time creating again.  I honestly hope that my grand-kids, great-grand-kids and beyond can look back and see the journey of their ancestors through my hobby.
I would say my style is...well...I don't really know!  I LOVE bright colors--oranges, yellows, turquoise--and I just do whatever feels right at that moment.  I try not to put myself in a box.
Other than scrapbooking, I enjoy doing work at my church, traveling, anything music related, sewing...just to name a few.
I am currently on the design team at Triple the Sketch and have 3 layouts published in Scrapbook News and Review this month.  I am more than thrilled to be guest designing for Scrap for a Cure and just feel really humbled to have this opportunity.

Here are some of the very creative layouts Amber created using the October kit:

Here is a close up of the adorable flower made with the crepe paper ribbon, beads and sequins. Love this idea!

Also love how she uses the tissue paper here and layering of rub-ons onto paper then cutting them out-fabulous!
