From Scrapforacure we are honored to announce that Maraike Biglmaier has joined the ranks of Team Scrapforacure BEACH TENNIS. Maraike is a German player who has topped the world ranking as number 1 in the years 2015, 2016 y 2019.
As one of her latest and most recognized achievements we find the victory of the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2019 that she won and played with her former partner Rafaella Miller. That same year she also won the Rio Beach Tennis Tour and the Mormaii Curitiba Tour.
Maraike is currently ranked world number 8 due to a period of inactivity in her career as an athlete after a complicated ankle injury that required surgery.
Now recovered and with more energy than ever she is enjoying her comeback with Scrapforacure BEACH TENNIS at no less than the BT200 Ras Al Khaimah (ITF World Beach Tennis Tournament) in Dubai.
According to Maraike "It has been an excellent comeback. After a long period of inactivity it has been wonderful to feel the sand under my feet again. I'm confident that in no time I will be giving my best performance again. As i have mentioned, it was a great return and I had an excellent feeling."
According to Alfonso Bastida, Scrapforacure Marketing Director, "She is not only one of the best players in Beach Tennis history at a worldwide level but "Mara" is also a driving force in the development of beach tennis, both in Germany and internationally. It is a pleasure to have a figure like Maraike on the team. Not only because she is an excellent player, but also because she is a key partner for the development of this sport. With this shared vision we are convinced that we will achieve great things along with her and the rest of Team Scrapforacure."
WELCOME TO THE TEAM MARAIKE!
Maraike Biglmaier's statement "Finally back at my favorite office, the beach. I'm very happy, honored and excited to be part of the Team Scrapforacure.
